About the photographer

Christophe Losberger – Blues Photographer (Short Version)

Photo de Luc Naville

Photographer based in Geneva, I caught the concert photography virus in the early 1980s, notably at the Montreux Jazz Festival where I had the chance to rub shoulders with the renowned photographers in my role of staff member. By observing them and talking with them, I was gradually introduced to the tips and tricks of the pros and during my breaks I was able to photograph great artists such as Miles Davis, BB King or Luther Allison.

After a short break of a few years without concerts, I took the digital photography road in 2008 and returned to the blues scene, starting as the photographer of the Blues Association of Geneva (BAG), then of Blues festivals of French-speaking Switzerland (Sierre Blues Festival, Blues Rules Crissier), before developing activities abroad and collaborations with magazines such as Blues Magazine (France) or societies such as the European Blues Union. In this context I have been invited to European collective exhibitions and some renowned artists have chosen my shots for their promotion or their CD (Lucky Peterson, Ben Poole, Neal Black, Fred Chapellier, Band Fo Friends, …) not to mention the many local groups who also used my shots.

The list can be viewed in my pages under ‘Realizations’.
